When you consume protein, your body breaks it down into its individual components: amino acids. These amino acids can be classified as essential or non-essential. The essential amino acids need to be consumed in the diet whereas the non-essential amino acids can be made in the body (from other amino acids).

BCAAs from Whey Protein prevents muscle loss and support growth.

Of the essential amino acids, three are called branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), which include: L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine. These unique amino acids bypass the liver and are primarily oxidized for energy in muscle tissue. BCAAs are generally consumed on their own to provide muscles with an energy source, while also helping to prevent muscle loss and support growth.

PERFECT provides 24g of amino acids, 11g of naturally occurring essential amino acids (EAAs) and 5 g of BCAAs to help provide a favourable array of growth-promoting, muscle-sparing and energy-providing amino acids.

    Got the cookie and cream, vanilla and waffer crisp! All of them are great, but I have to go with the waffer crisp has my favorite one!! Great product, really stands out of the crowd with the nutritional values at the price! No lactose if a plus for me, digestion has never been better with whey proteins! Love it

    Is this Ion-exchange or Membrane Filtered???

      PERFECT New Zealand Whey Protein is Cold-Temperature Cross-Flow Micro-Filtered (CFM). It is not (nor are any of our proteins) Ion-Exchange.

      This eliminates the need for the use of high temperatures, enzyme treatment or (as you mentioned) ion exchange, each of which can result in a degree denaturation of the protein.

      If you look at the bioactive full-spectrum fraction chart that shows the levels of alpha-lactalbumin, beta-lactoglobulin, immunoglobulins etc. each of which are susceptible to being denatured. The high levels shown on the PERFECT New Zealand Whey Protein label is one marker of the high level of quality of the protein itself.

      Each of these bioactive fractions have been shown in research to have specific functions that contribute to health.

    Mixes easily with absolutely no lumps. The first whey protein powder that I have ever used with no lumps when mixing by hand. French vanilla tastes good, but only flavour the store had.
