Why is New Zealand Whey Isolate superior?
New Zealand is an island located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. The moderate temperatures, fertile soil, excellent rainfall and yearly average of 2,000 hours of sunshine, provides ideal growing conditions for grass. This allows for cattle to flourish. In fact, New Zealand’s primary export is dairy.
Cattle graze throughout the year on grass, as nature intended, cycling through pastures across the land. On average, they spend 90% of their time roaming outside in pastures during the year.

Naturally sweetened with pure, natural Stevia extract
DIESEL is sweetened exclusively with Stevia, a natural sugar substitute. Best of all, you don’t need to give up taste for the ultimate in protein performance! DIESEL outperforms other proteins that still use artificial sweeteners like Sucralose or Ace-K (acesulfame potassium).
Using a protein that is sweetened exclusively with Stevia extract gives you that extra peace of mind. Those following a protein-rich keto diet often look for proteins that contain only stevia out of concern that artificial sweeteners may raise blood sugar levels.

DIESEL NEW ZEALAND WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE

I am dismayed that when another distributor took over this product – they increased the price … but glad I can still get it.
After going through this entire 360g container of DIESEL Orange Cream Cyclone whey isolate over the past month I’m genuinely impressed with what Perfect Sports has created here. This is hands-down some of the best protein powder I’ve tried. Quality You Can Taste: The New Zealand grass-fed source really shows in the final product. There’s a clean pure taste without any of the artificial aftertaste that plagues many protein powders. You can tell this is high-quality whey isolate – it doesn’t have that chalky processed flavor that cheaper proteins often have. Orange Cream Cyclone Flavor: This flavor is absolutely spot-on! It tastes like a creamsicle in the best possible way – sweet orange with a smooth cream finish that’s not overpowering. I actually look forward to my post-workout shake which says a lot. Mixed with just water it’s delicious. With milk it’s like a dessert. Mixability and Texture: Mixes incredibly smoothly with just a shaker bottle – no clumps no foam no gritty residue. The isolate formula means it dissolves completely and quickly. I’ve mixed it with water almond milk and regular milk and the consistency is perfect every time. Performance and Digestibility: As a whey isolate this is easy on the stomach with minimal lactose content. No bloating or digestive issues even when consuming it daily. The grass-fed pasture-raised source likely contributes to the clean digestion experience. Post-workout recovery has been excellent – I feel less sore the next day and my energy levels stay more consistent throughout the day when I’m hitting my protein targets with this supplement. Value Consideration: Yes this is more expensive than basic whey concentrates but you’re paying for premium sourcing and processing. The New Zealand grass-fed whey commands a higher price but the quality difference is noticeable. For serious athletes or anyone who wants the cleanest protein possible the investment is worth it. The 360g container provides about 12 servings so it’s not the most economical for daily use but perfect for trying the quality or supplementing a larger protein routine. Who Should Buy This: Perfect for anyone who wants premium protein without compromise – athletes fitness enthusiasts or people with sensitive stomachs who need high-quality isolate. If you’re tired of cheap protein that tastes awful or causes digestive issues this is your upgrade. Minor Drawbacks: – Premium pricing reflects the quality – Smaller container size means frequent reordering – Limited flavor options (though this one is excellent) Bottom Line: This is what protein powder should be – clean delicious and effective. The combination of New Zealand grass-fed sourcing excellent flavor and superior mixability makes this a standout product. If you want to treat your body right and actually enjoy your protein shake this is worth every penny. Highly recommended for: Anyone wanting premium whey isolate with exceptional taste and quality. Will I repurchase? Already ordered the larger size!
I’ve been buying Diesel products for years and I only have good comments about their product quality flavour etc – my favorite flavour is vanilla a versatile choice….I don’t know I tend to find most whey flavours too sweet or too artificial. HOWEVER…I have a couple comments about them: 1- in the past they used to advertise their isolated whey as lactose free”. About a year ago or maybe 2 they removed that add from the container. I’m not gonna enter into technicalities here it’s just a good piece of information to have if you are lactose intolerant and may have seen an old container from them. My personal experience: I have very low tolerance to lactose but their whey isolated does not affect my stomach (I also did not notice any difference in reaction from their previous container to the newer containers); 2- they recently changed the size of the plastic scoop that comes inside the container which scared me a bit. Were the old scoops too far off? Well luckily I always keep the scoop of the previous container in the event of not finding the scoop after opening a new container (by the way this is a good tip! Don’t put your dirty hands inside the container just to find its scoop!). My non-scientific findings: the older scoop clearly smaller would fit roughly 25-27g of whey; the new scoop fits 33-35g of whey (the “proposed” serving size is 30g). Personally I don’t think I got affected by the smaller portion size because I always put some extra on top of it – I’m aware that this type of issue tends to be common within this industry. Nevertheless 6 to 10g can be a significant difference for some people so I decided to note this here although I shall say that this variation may be within their margin of error for scoop size (after all this is just plastic and maybe some inherent product variation may affect measurements).”
I’ve always had a difficult time finding a protein that doesn’t make me feel bloated or leave me needing to run to the washroom shortly after… until now! Since the formula is lactose-free, I can digest it without any issues. Plus, it tastes amazing. Prior to this, I used the Beachbody Vegan Recover for my post-workout protein. However, I’d much rather use a whey formula than a vegan one. I’m so glad I found this brand – it’s my new go-to!
I’m very picky with protein powders. Most taste overly sweet chalky and upset my stomach. This protein is the best I’ve tried. Not chalky sweet but not artificial sweetener sweet (got the milk chocolate flavour) and I digest it very well. It tastes good even with just water. Pricey but worth it. Highly recommend.
